- How to Prepare your Child

Admission Procedure

We recommend that one or both parents attend an open house to learn more about the programs, see the facilities, and observe the daily routines. You will see firsthand how Tokyo Gifted Academy provides an extraordinary education which helps its students to develop into self-motivated learners, independent thinkers and mature young people.

The purpose of the interview is for the family to learn about the school, and the school to learn about the child and the family, in order to see if we would be the optimal learning environment. During the interview we gain a better understanding of your child and a clearer understanding of how you view your child. The interview lasts approximately one hour with ample time available for parents to ask questions.

1)     Parent Interview: Interested families should contact the Admissions Office to schedule an interview. Required Tests: (for testing arrangements please contact the Admissions department)  All students should have an intellectual assessment test, and students entering the Elementary/ Middle school class must have a copy of the student's current report card, as well as the final report card, for two previous years (transcript), sent to Admissions office. This testing gives us a preliminary profile of intellectual potential and capability.
