The environment at Tokyo Children's Academy is structured so that there is maximum opportunity for our faculty to work with and encourage students, assisting each child to develop at an appropriate pace and level. The faculty and staff transform technique and knowledge into a stimulating world of learning. Highly qualified teachers bring energy and passion into the classroom and are drawn to Tokyo Children's Academy by the opportunity to work with motivated students who love to learn and have an unquenchable thirst for discovery and knowledge. Our perceptive and caring faculty is highly qualified and takes an active role in curriculum and school development. Our teachers use their high level of expertise and energy to nurture each student, stimulating creativity and critical thinking.  
 
Tokyo Children's Academy believes that all children deserve the highest quality of instruction possible and that such instruction will only occur when teachers are aware of and able to respond to the unique qualities and characteristics of the students they instruct.To provide appropriate learning experiences for each student, our teachers possess: 
  • Knowledge of subject matter and how to make it accessible to students.
  • The ability to create an environment in which students can feel challenged and safe to explore and express their uniqueness.
  • Teaching strategies that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and high levels of performance.
  • The ability to create a positive and purposeful learning environment.
  • Knowledge of how to promote effective communication and collaboration in the classroom.
  • The ability to create learning experiences adapted to the needs of diverse students ability; to plan instruction based on subject matter and student needs and curriculum goals.
